Setting for China
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of StrongVPN to open “Settings.” Turn off the “Optimize the VPN for China” option under “General Settings.” Next, set the “VPN Protocol” to “OpenVPN.” With this setting, the “Scramble” feature is usually enabled by default, and a port is automatically assigned for “Remote Port,” so no changes are needed. This configuration works better for use in mainland China.

StrongVPN still has 7-8 U.S. servers, but I won’t test them further. Based on the test results, the performance of the U.S. servers is quite good. Next, I plan to test servers in other regions, which might better meet the needs of more readers.

Summary: The Android version of StrongVPN seems to perform much better in China compared to its Windows and Mac versions. However, during tests with Netflix in the U.S., UK, and Taiwan, the VPN only successfully unlocked the U.S. region. Of course, there are many other Netflix regions to explore. Recently, China introduced visa-free entry for South Korean visitors. If South Korean users need a VPN while in China, StrongVPN could be a good option.
I will soon test the iOS version of StrongVPN to see how it performs in China.
