April 7, 2021 – Today will be a test of the IKEv2 protocol in PureVPN’s App in Windows 10. Before testing I checked the latest version of PureVPN and confirmed that 1.1.74.0 is currently the latest version in Win10. When checking its version, I found that the initial loading speed of PureVPN is quite long when opening, about 90 seconds, which is not a good experience for users. But then again, for mainland China users, being able to connect to the server successfully and securely is the most important thing.
The daily speed test will help you understand the following three things:
1. the success rate of the VPN’s server connection in the device under test.
2. the server connection time of the VPN in the tested device.
3. the speed of the VPN after a successful connection to the server in the device under test.

Summary: Today in Windows 10 tested PureVPN’s international version of the APP’s IKEv2 protocol in mainland China VPN connection, the server connection success rate is not high, but also not bad, compared to Pure official does not give guidance on the connection of mainland China, all server selection is a random blind test. Secondly, I found a problem in the usual use and testing, is that when you are connecting to the server, if there are multiple major regions (developed regions) servers (3-5) can not be connected, you can try to restart the PureVPN APP, I mean exit the APP, and then re-open; not mean exit the account and then log back in. This can effectively improve the success rate of the server connection, this method I feel very effective.
