Win10 AtlasVPN All Servers China GFW Test

September 29, 2021 China VPN test, the annual October wall blocking period is still 2 days away. According to previous years the October blocking period is usually much stricter than the March and June blocking, and as of the time I did this test report it was not obvious that the Chinese Internet blocking was being particularly tightly tightened. But when it comes it may be a night or a few hours before most VPN blocking is complete. Today will be a test of a relatively niche AtlasVPN, testing all servers in the Windows version of AtlasVPN.

The daily speed test will help you understand three things.
1. the success rate of the VPN’s server connection in the device under test.
2. the server connection time of the VPN in the tested device.
3. the speed of the VPN after a successful connection to the server in the device under test.

Summary: The above test results for all 37 servers of AtlasVPN in Windows 10 today, of which 29 servers were successfully connected and 8 servers were Failed. a few points worth noting for readers is that the latest version tested, 2.0.2, has the default Auto protocol option for the connection protocol. There were no dropped connections during the test. There are two minor drawbacks to the VPN testing experience that could be improved: The first is that the initial loading time to start the VPN in Windows is long, taking about 30-45s, and I’m not sure if this is unique to my device or if it’s the case for everyone. The second is that the Time efficiency is slightly longer, when a server connection is successful it takes 68-70 seconds, and the single server Failed feedback time limit is 90 seconds.

If the AtlasVPN can maintain this state for a long time, then this will become another good news for VPN users in mainland China. The exact long-term stability remains to be seen, especially during the blocking period. For now I would position it as a very good backup VPN, after all, it is also relatively cheap.

The VPN Macbook, iPhone, iPad are directly through the App of the company, Android because I do not have the device in hand, so I can not test, but android devices are similar to Windows compatibility, use should not be a problem.
