Today’s main test is PureVPN, and as you’ve already noticed I’ve been tweaking my testing methods over the last few days, from testing multiple VPNs at once to test one at a time. This is mainly due to my own time and the changing cycles of the VPN. This method of testing shortens my testing time considerably, allowing me time to experiment more deeply with the VPNs I’m testing today and figure out the best connection for me. In the future, I will try to use my trivial time to conduct simple tests on a particular server or protocol, which may provide more information on how to use it.
Today’s Test catalog:
1、PureVPN Windows10. (Auto+Official recommend)
2、PureVPN Macbook. (IKEv2+Rendom election)

Summary: I tested PureVPN’s app direct connection in Windows 10, and the success rate of the server connection was mediocre, but when I tested it today, the speed after connecting to the server over the wall was very poor, barely even over 1,000 Kbps. However, based on my long-term testing observations, even if this happens, don’t be too concerned because the connection and speed of all VPNs used in China will change in real-time. I’m sure it will be back on speed tomorrow or soon.

Conclusion: I tested PureVPN in Macbook, and it seems that not all servers can connect through the app, there must be a few servers that can connect through the app. In addition, I used Ping value to filter the servers, but every time the connection failed or disconnected successfully in Mac, the Ping value test interface will return to the default state, if you need to select the server by Ping, you need to test Ping again.
Finally, I also found a problem, when using PureVPN in Mac, it is very easy to be unable to connect to the network, I checked the reason, this is due to PureVPN’s DNS is not restored, just need to delete its DNS, please refer to this article: MAC’s disconnect VPN after unable to connect to the Internet.
