In short: Your search history and filter preferences are stored strictly on your local device. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, nor do we store your search records on our servers.
1. Information We Collect and Store
Our Extension is built on a “Local-First” principle. Most data exists only within your browser.
1.1 Local Data
To provide the core functionality of the Extension, the following data is stored directly in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) and is not uploaded to our servers:
- Search Filter Preferences: Your saved YouTube search filter settings (e.g., Sort by, Upload Date).
- Search History: A record of the search keywords you manually enter.
- Combined Search Groups: The keyword combinations, exclusions, and group titles you create.
- Interface Settings: Such as the open/closed state of the sidebar.
1.2 Account & Payment Information
The Extension offers premium features. We use a third-party service, ExtensionPay (based on Stripe), to handle authentication and payments.
- Payment Processing: We do not process or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information. All payment transactions are securely handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe.
- Membership Verification: To verify your premium status, ExtensionPay may process your email address. This information is used solely to validate your access to premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above solely to provide and improve the functionality of the Extension:
- Automation: To automatically apply your saved filter preferences when you visit YouTube.
- Efficiency: To provide quick access to your search history and groups via the sidebar.
- Service Verification: To confirm your Premium membership status via your email (through ExtensionPay).
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties.
The Extension relies on the following third-party services to function, which are governed by their respective privacy policies:

4. Data Security and Retention
- Local Storage: Your search configurations and history are stored locally in your Chrome browser. If you uninstall the Extension or clear your browser data (Local Storage), this data will be permanently deleted.
- Data Transmission: Communication between the Extension and ExtensionPay is conducted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

To function correctly, the Extension requests the following permissions for the specific reasons listed below:
storage: To save your search preferences and history locally on your device.tabs: To detect when you are on a YouTube page to update the extension icon status.alarms: To execute your configured “Daily Reset” strategy (e.g., resetting filters at 3:00 AM).host_permissions(youtube.com): To display the sidebar and floating assistant on YouTube pages and to read URL parameters to memorize your filter habits.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
