VPN in China. Since NordVPN’s app direct connect has been unrecoverable lately, I’ve been taking a little private time each day to try a quick test on devices like Mac, Windows 10, and iPhone, testing the main protocols OpenVPN-UDP and NordLynx, but I’ve never seen it come back, and I don’t know when it will. But is it true that as a NordVPN user you can’t use it to flip walls at the moment? No, as of today I will be testing its manual configuration in the hope that this will help users get a more complete picture of how it works.
I already know that NordVPN’s app is currently unavailable, so I’m not going to waste your time. I’m going to test the manual configuration method, and I’ll keep an eye on it, and I’ll let you know if it’s working again when the app connects directly.

Win10 NordVPN Manual Test VPN in China:
Starting Time: Jul 31, 2020, 2:36 PM.
The following test will use OpenVPN, a third-party open-source software, to manually configure NordVPN to connect to the wall. If you need it, you can click here: Here is the official download address. It provides 12 servers with UDP protocol for you to use for wall-climbing, and I will follow the official default server naming for testing.

Summary: I tested 12 manually configured servers in NordVPN in Windows 10 today, and the connection success rate is quite high, but these servers don’t seem to be very friendly to YouTube, and according to the SpeedTest tool, YouTube’s speed should be more than that. I don’t know exactly why this is the case, but here are the results of my tests for your reference. If you have any questions about YouTube speed and SpeedTest speed, please leave a comment.
