Starting Time: Jan 12, 2022, 1:59 PM;
Local device and network: Windows10 / Macbook / IOS / China Telecom 300M;

Connection Protocol Description: The default protocol in Windows is NordLynx, which supports OpenVPN-UDP, OpenVPN-TCP, and NordLynx. “IOS also uses the default “User Recommended” protocol, which supports the following protocols: OpenVPN-UDP, OpenVPN-TCP, NordLynx, and IKEv2: OpenVPN-UDP, OpenVPN-TCP, NordLynx, and IKEv2.

“Quick Connect” means that the app will automatically select the connection server by clicking the Quick Connect button directly in the app. The following test will be abbreviated as “QC”, such as “QC (1)” means the server connected after the first click on the “Quick Connect” button. For example, “QC (2)” means the server connected after the first click on the “Quick Connect” button. “QC (2)” means the server connected after disconnecting from “QC (1)” and clicking on “Quick Connect” to connect here, and so on. The main purpose of this operation is to test whether “Quick Connect” will connect to several different servers and connect successfully.

Summary: The above is the latest Version of International App tested in China on Windows, Macbook, iOS/iPhone today, and the speed varies from server to server. However, from the servers that were successfully connected, it is still using the old “blind box” connection method, and only the “#75xx” series of servers in the US are available. The test results show that Android should also be available.

My opinion on NordVPN: For those who wish to purchase a new VPN, it is not advisable to get NordVPN right away, because NordVPN’s method was used around the beginning of 2021, but it was blocked. After that, it has been using manual configuration and China-specific version mainly to help Chinese users connect to the server. The connection success rate has been intermittent. I will keep watching NordVPN for at least 3 months or 6 months of stability before I can consider getting it.
