ExpressVPN Win10 Test in China–20200802

Starting July 31, 2012, ExpressVPN has lowered the number of servers it can recommend for use in China from 4 to 2. Please note that ExpressVPN already has the latest version available, so even if the app doesn’t prompt you for an upgrade, please click on the “Check for status updates” button at the bottom of the app to be redirected to the relevant page to download the new version for your device. The new version of Windows 10 after the upgrade is 7.11.3(2). However, I will still test the previous two servers HK-4 and USA La-5 to see if they really can’t connect anymore.

Summary: Based on today’s testing of ExpressVPN in Windows 10, it is true that only Japan and Canada are the only two officially recommended servers that will work. IKEv2 protocol is still available on US-based servers, but I also tried to connect privately on my Mac and iPhone, and the situation is similar to Windows 10.
