Today I’ll be running a comparison test between ExpressVPN’s Windows 10 and MacBook, and the two devices are being tested against each other to see if there is a big difference in the servers that Mac and Win10 can connect to and the speed of the connection when on the same network. This can be used as a reference for future testing of other devices when in a single device. I hope this test will be informative for everyone. I will be testing other VPNs for wall flips in China at other times.

Mac Summary: I tested ExpressVPN on my Macbook today. The recommended method works, but the test results show that the HK-4 server failed to connect. I also tried IKEv2, and the US server had a very good connection success rate, but there were also a lot of unsuccessful connections in other regions.

Win10 Summary: I’ve tested the officially recommended method in Win10, and it works, but the speed is mediocre.IKEv2 protocol, I tested it only on servers in the US, and it works well, but I can’t connect successfully on every server in Asia and elsewhere.
In addition, IKEv2 works on Macs, iPhones, and iPads, but I didn’t test the Auto+4 servers that are officially recommended. In addition to the above methods, it is recommended to try the new protocol Lightway in the Bate version of Google Play to connect, the Bate version is required to apply, the specific official Bate application URL: How to get the BATE version of Expressvpn.
ExpressVPN Win10 Version: 7.11.0 (1288). Protocol: Auto/IKEv2
