The previous test of ExpressVPN was conducted on a Macbook, and the results showed that everything worked fine and that I could connect using the officially recommended and IKEv2 protocols, and since then and up until today, since I use a Macbook for work and use ExpressVPN every day, I’ve been using the officially recommended method to connect. and everything works fine. So MacOS has no problem using ExpressVPN for direct wall-climbing in mainland China. Today I will be running a test on Windows 10 and IOS to see how the wall flip is currently working in these two devices. Hopefully this test will provide some reference for you to use!
A reader left a comment in Twitter saying that he wished I had still included YouTube connection speed in the test. Today I’m going to change the speed test tools to both YouTube Connection Speed and SpeedTest. Testing via YouTube should be more intuitive for readers.

Win10 Summary: Testing ExpressVPN’s app for direct connection over the wall in Windows 10, the test results show that the officially recommended “Auto Protocol + 4 Servers” allows good and very good speeds. Available in the US, Canada, and the UK, but almost unavailable in Asia, these tests should be called a reference for your regular use, although only a random selection of servers were used.

IOS Summary: Testing ExpressVPN’s App Direct Connect on an iPhone, the situation is similar to that in Windows 10. Both the officially recommended method and the IKEv2 protocol were able to successfully connect over the wall.
It’s also working fine on the iPad, which I usually use, and although I didn’t do any systematic testing, I was able to connect via Automatic+4 servers and the IKEv protocol without problems. Android is so open that I think its current connectivity and speed should be as good as these 3 devices.
ExpressVPN IOS/iPhone Version: 8.3.8 (13490); Protocol: Auto/IKEv2
