ExpressVPN Lightway all server test in china

I have been observing ExpressVPN for a long time for testing. Based on the results of previous tests, there are currently two main ways to connect to help users in mainland China to climb the wall. The first is, of course, the “Automatic” protocol option that ExpressVPN officially recommends, and then connect to the officially recommended servers, which are usually 4-6. In addition, the test also found that Windows, Mac and IOS devices can connect to the wall through the IKEv2 protocol, mainly servers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. You can find out through the [ExpressVPN Daily Test] section.

Since ExpressVPN released its new protocol Lightway-UDP in the official app, I have released a small test of the servers, but I always felt that it was not comprehensive enough. Today, I am determined to test all servers in mainland China with the Lightway-UDP protocol. We will see how many of the servers can help Chinese users to securely climb the wall.

The daily speed test will help you understand three things.
1. the success rate of the VPN’s server connection in the device under test.
2. the server connection time of the VPN in the tested device.
3. the speed of the VPN after a successful connection to the server in the device under test.

Summary: I tested all of ExpressVPN’s servers in Windows 10 today via the Lightway-UDP protocol. The total number of servers is 147. Note that ExpressVPN currently supports the Lightway-UDP protocol only for 147 servers. If other protocols are used, the servers will be different. The total number of successful tests is 9 servers, and the speed of the successfully connected servers is not bad.

I was able to complete this test and thankfully I had two computers. One computer to work and one to test and take notes. Although most of them would interfere with the work schedule, today I dedicated myself to some simple work things, so it was not a big problem. The whole test started at 9:00 am, took an hour and a half break at noon, and ended at 4:30 pm. It took about 5 hours in total. The results of this test were successful, and I will separate them out in the “ExpressVPN Unable to Connect Solution(zh)” article. One is convenient for everyone to see, and secondly, I can also make a record of myself, later in the daily speed test, I can target these servers to test to see if their connection is stable, what kind of speed are.
