May 9, 2021 VPN Test Report: Today will be a test of ExpressVPN in iOS/iPhone, first went to check its latest version as 10.0.8, which currently supports the protocol options Automatic, UDP, TCP, IKEv2, now in the official version of both Windows and Mac have been introduced its latest protocols Lightway-UDP and Lightway-TCP. The description of UDP and TCP in IOS is a bit ambiguous, whether it is OpenVPN-UDP or Lightway-UDP, or both are combined, before the Lightway protocol was developed, IOS has extremely UDP and TCP. TCP, so I prefer that they refer to OpenVPN.
The daily speed test will help you understand three things:
1. the success rate of the VPN’s server connection in the device under test.
2. the server connection time of the VPN in the tested device.
3. the speed of the VPN after a successful connection to the server in the device under test.

Checking out multiple test reports can help you understand more effectively how this VPN works in the long run. This site has opened a new [Micro test] column, which is a way to test “single device + single protocol + single server” through “fragmented” free time.

Conclusion: From the above iPhone test results, ExpressVPN still has a very good connection in IOS. As always in IOS devices, we recommend using two connection options, the first is the officially recommended “Auto Protocol option + 6 servers”; the other is the IKEv2 protocol that this blog has been testing for a long time. Today I also tried the UDP protocol, this protocol from the test results should also be able to connect to the officially recommended six optimized dedicated servers, but for other servers is not friendly. Specific how to use you can adjust according to their own habits.
Barry has added a “Donation” section to the back of his post, I do not want to introduce advertising or soft copy to this blog and charge for it in a way that would compromise the integrity of the test. If my long term testing has been helpful to you and you use cryptocurrencies, I hope you will fund my blog. I hope it will be better in the long run and help more people to solve the problems they encounter with secure wall trolling.
