ExpressVPN couldn’t connect last night!

Last night (September 7), I was unable to connect using ExpressVPN’s official push method in IOS/iPhone, and I’ve seen posts about it today in the blog “Comments” and “Playbeasts” forums. This is an emergency, so I will now test the situation with the three devices I have in hand, Win/Mac/IOS, to see what the specifics are so far. I will also include a random server test of the IKEv2 protocol so I can see if the protocol is working properly now. I hope this helps you all with ExpressVPN!

The daily speed test will help you understand three things:
1. the success rate of the VPN’s server connection in the device under test.
2. the server connection time of the VPN in the tested device.
3. the speed of the VPN after a successful connection to the server in the device under test.

Summary: Today we tested the official recommended methods “Auto+6 Servers” and “IKEv2 Protocol+Random Servers” for ExpressVPN for Windows 10, iPhone and Macbook devices. The official recommended methods “Auto+6 Servers” and “IKEv2 Protocol+Random Servers” were tested today. In Windows, the official recommended method of server connection is fine and the speed is good, but it is worth noting that the time efficiency is much delayed than before, it can be completed in 5s before, but now it takes more than 20 seconds. Japanese servers are available; however, IKEv2 is still available, and the speed and connection time are good. Finally, the official recommended method for Macbook devices is affected, but not much only UK-Wembley can not connect; IKEv protocol is also available, but some of the time efficiency is a bit long.

From the results of this test, ExpressVPN should be affected by the firewall, I’m not sure if this is an early arrival of the blocking period in October. I will pay close attention and will keep you informed of any situation. If you have any questions, you can leave a message to communicate (messages are anonymous).

The whole test took about 4 and a half hours!
