Anti-piracy Group(ACE) Cracks Down Hard on StreamEast and CrackStreams

Anti-piracy group —— ACE (The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment ), recently struck a heavy blow against illegal streaming services StreamEast and CrackStreams, marking a significant development in its fight against sports piracy. Here are the relevant details:

The Brief Introduction Of ACE

The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE, Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment) is an international anti-piracy organization founded in 2017 to combat online piracy and protect the rights of creators and content providers. Just as the ACE official website suggests, it works hard on addressing piracy. Below is a detailed description of ACE:

01 Organizational Background:

02 Main Activities:

In summary, ACE is a leading anti-piracy organization, is committed to defending the rights of creators and mitigating the impact of online piracy on the legitimate marketplace through legal action, international cooperation and industry support. To date, ACE has successfully shut down several networks operating what are considered to be the world’s largest pirate streaming sites through its anti-piracy initiatives.

What Happened To StreamEast and CrackStreams

In its latest release, ACE has announced its intention to dismantle one of the world’s largest live sports piracy rings —— StreamEast and CrackStreams. You may already hear about the shuttered sites by ACE include notorious sports piracy targets such as bestsolaris[dot]com, streameast[dot]to; markkystreams[dot]com; crackstreams[dot]dev; and weakspell[dot]to.

Larissa Knapp, the executive Vice President and Chief Content Protection Officer for the Motion Picture Association (MPA) says that:”on the one hand, the shutdown of this globally notorious live sports piracy ring is a huge victory in our campaign against the piracy of live sports programs and follows other recent successful actions by ACE and law enforcement in Vietnam. On the other hand ACE’s live sports members face a unique threat when it comes to digital piracy, as live sports broadcasts lose substantial commercial value once the game ends. The takedown serves as a warning to piracy operators everywhere – including operators in live sports piracy – that ACE will identify and shut down their illegal operations.”

Potential action against Streameast

StreamEast is its biggest targeted Sites. Because StreamEast is considered to be a site that offers pirated streaming services and could be a focus of attention for anti-piracy organizations. The site has been criticized for offering a large number of unauthorized live streams of sporting events.

Over the past few years, several similar sites have been shut down for illegal behavior. For example, the Anti-Piracy Alliance demonstrated strong enforcement and determination by shutting down several sites offering illegal streaming services in 2023.

Anti-piracy organizations often take legal action against these sites, demanding that they stop infringing and potentially holding their operators legally liable.

There is no doubt that Anti-piracy groups will continue to monitor the activities of StreamEast and other similar sites and may take further steps in the future. Also, with ACE’s successful crackdown on sites such as StreamEast, other similar platforms such as Fmovies and 123Movies could be targeted for its future actions.

Impact on StreamEast and its response

StreamEast has been the focus of ACE’s attention due to the large number of unauthorized live streams of sporting events it provides.ACE’s goal is to reduce the impact of these illegal services on the legitimate market by legally crippling their ability to operate.

Moreover, the strong crackdown by anti-piracy groups is widely supported by the entertainment industry, with many companies actively participating in the initiative to protect their interests and preserve copyrights.

The blocked website domains of StreamEast include streameast.to, crackstreams.dev, and others, and users who visit these sites will see a warning message about copyright infringement. ACE says this action sends a clear warning to all piracy operators that they will continue to identify and shut down illegal operations.

According to ACE, StreamEast has attracted more than 812 million visits over the past year and is expected to see a significant drop in traffic as the crackdown is implemented. This decrease in traffic could impact its advertising revenue and operational capacity.

Despite ACE’s massive crackdown, StreamEast operators say they will continue to operate until sports streaming becomes more affordable. They also note that many copycat StreamEast sites are still active, making it more difficult for users to find official channels. But we have to say although the operators of StreamEast have indicated that they will continue to operate, the reality of legal pressure and domain blocking has made their operations more difficult. Such an environment may force them to find other hidden ways to continue providing their services.
